David Ramsey, aged 68, died peacefully in his sleep at the Marieville long-term care home. 

He is survived by his wife Tracy Thomas Ramsey and their children Katherine (Steve), Spencer (Yasmine), Hannah (James), and Josh, as well as his sister Alison (Robert) and his niece Emma.

His funeral will take place at 2 p.m. on Sunday, March 29, 2026, at St. Stephen’s Church, Chambly.

David had a great big heart, and lived large. Though he had spent the last few years at a CHSLD due to dementia, he still recognized loved ones and took pleasure in meals, sweet treats, and movies featuring the sports he loved to play or watch, action (fistfights where no one got badly hurt were a favourite), or beautiful women (thank you, Anne Hathaway!).
